Master class: Design an alternative European flag

Europe is an abstract entity. Who or what bears influence upon the perception of the union that is called Europe? Flags become political statements, reflecting critique and personal interpretations. To what extent can graphic designers contribute to such an influence? In this workshop students are invited to design several flags for Europe. Personal perception and vision are the starting points for these designs: become an author writing in images.
